  • Sargon Engineering's study for Technicas Reunidas' zinc roast-leach electrowinning process is nearing completion.
  • Enej Catovic to take charge of Sargon Engineering's Bayer alumina process SysCAD model.
  • Iron Ore process system for crushing, sampling, stockpiling and loadout completed by engineer Abdullahi Ali.
  • Secondments to MSP engineering: Matthew Lovkis (Planner / Scheduler) Michael Hamilton (Electrical Engineer).
  • Additional secondments to Tiwest: Douglas Reeson (Process Engineer), Mick Pollard (Piping Designer)

February, 2010

  • Sargon Engineering will be assisting RSV Australia with their Tanzania coal project.
  • Project support services to AECOM on ZeroGen BoP (clean coal power generation).
  • Project control services to EPMS with their Iron Ore Port Development Project, and their Tiwest South Mine Expansion DFS.
  • Secondments to Tiwest: Kevin Ingram, Adam Lovkis, Jasper Stewart, and Frank Stratico are hard at work assisting with the Tiwest Expansion, with Kevin Ingram managing construction and scheduling.
  • "calcs.com.au", a range of online equipment sizing and costing tools, are currently under development.

  • Developed Metsim process model for limestone neutralisation circuit at the Tiwest Kwinana Pigment Plant.

March, 2009

  • Completed study into improving the efficiency of an oxygen heating furnace for Tiwest. This study aimed at reducing greenhouse gases. Prosim software (Simulis) used to generate thermal and transport properties of gases.
  • Proposal for an AUD 3 million prefeasability study prepared using a Filemaker 10 database. WBS system for rationalising deliverables, expenses, packages, disciplines, roles and manhours.

January, 2009

  • Completed concept study for production of boric acid from mixed borate ores.
  • Conducted three day course in Metsim process simulation for GRD Minproc process group in Johannesburg.

December, 2008

  • Completed revamp of SysCAD model of Barrambie Vanadium project for SKM.

September, 2008

  • Sargon Engineering has engaged software developer Nightwing (Victoria) to provide a database structure for the cost estimating database in Filemaker 9.0.
  • Alumina process model in SysCAD complete and running.

August, 2008

  • Cubic spline interpolation successfully implemented in SEED (Sargon Engineering Estimating Database), allowing the database to more accurately interpolate data sets.
